He eats it ALL!

This dog eats everything, from bananas to ice. I don’t have much experience with animals. I really not sure if it’s o.k. to feed my puppy different types of food. Now I not crazy I don’t give him cheeseburgers and French fries (Fast Food). I usually share fruits and vegetables with him. Like strawberries, grapes, apples, and he loves bananas.
While searching on the web most of the sites say that it is bad to feed dogs “human food” because “Human food is bad for animals, for different reasons. One reason is it tends to cause worms in their bellies. Another reason is if they get use to human food, they'll refuse to eat dog food, & will become real picky eater. Another negative, "on that note", is if they prefer human food, & the kind they want isn't readily available to them at the time, they usually will stoop to getting into garbage - whether it be in your kitchen, outside in your yard, or the neighbors' yard(s). I've also seen those who prefer human food climb up on tables & kitchen counters in order to get people food, as well as grabbing it right out of peoples' hands - even when they knew, after being taught, that it was absolutely the wrong thing to do.”
Now I see that giving him “human food” is not good but how do I correct the situation?

  3. Take it from a mommy of 3 Rotties - chewing will come and go. The "teething" chewing stops and then the "pay attention to me" starts. I have a few pieces of furniture to prove this. You still love them though. The trick is in finding out your puppies personality. Some of them do it as part of a nervous personality. These are the ones that seem to just do it occasionally during certain events. Example: Thunderstorms, fireworks during 4th of July, parties at the house, you have left the home for a long period of time. Then some dogs will chew just out of plan boredom. These puppies need lots of toys. Don't give them to puppy all at the same time. Rotate the toys every so many days. Then you have the exceptionally smart puppy that you love to admire but want to ring their neck. You yell at them and a little while later you find one of your favorite shoes mysterously placed in the center of your bed as a gift. Once again, you still love them.

  4. Your dog will live longer and be healthier if you don't give them people food.
